Dearest Buttermilk Jamboree Family and Friends-
We are so very sad to tell you that we will not be holding the Buttermilk Jamboree in 2020.
All of our hearts are heavy, as I’m sure yours is too, but this is the right thing to do- and we will come back next year better than ever!! Due to the current social restrictions in place for everyone’s safety, (that will likely continue for some time,) it looks like most festivals through July have canceled. We have been in contact with other festivals who have also announced their cancellations, and while it was our hope that restrictions on gatherings might be lifted by June, it has become clear that large gatherings will still not be permitted. So the most responsible thing for us to do at this point is cancel. This is not only in anticipation of continuing restrictions, but also for the health and safety of everyone involved.
Here are a couple of FAQs:
What if I bought my ticket already?
If you have purchased anything for 2020 Buttermilk Jamboree this will AUTOMATICALLY be rolled over to 2021 Buttermilk Jamboree, dates are June 18th-20th, 2021. All ticket purchasers will be receiving a survey explaining in more detail what steps they will need to take if they need a refund instead due to financial hardship. Please use this form to address any ticket need you may have.
Will there be a festival next year?
YES!! We are confident that we will get through this and that 2021, marking our 10th annual festival, will be AMAZING!! Our hope is to work with many of the same performers, vendors, and workshop leaders that we had lined up for this year.
What about a digital festival for this year?
We are currently working on putting together some form of streaming performance/s that can be shared with everyone- so there will be music to enjoy over the normal Buttermilk weekend!! Stay tuned for more on this.
Will all CPC events be cancelled?
As social distancing requirements relax, there will begin to be some smaller camping, music and educational opportunities at CPC- so keep an eye out!!
This is not something that we ever could have anticipated, and no one expected us to be in the situation that we are in now. Our amazing team of Staff and Coordinators have been working hard this week as we have decided to cancel, and we will continue to be available to answer your questions and offer you our support moving forward.
On behalf of our entire Buttermilk Jamboree Team— We all love you, and thank you for holding out hope with us!! Hang in there everyone, and stay safe. We are all in this together!!
